CardSheen Terms of Use
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and XEPATOP, an independent developer in Subotica, Serbia (“I”, “me”), the maker of the CardSheen app (formerly CardComps). By using the app you accept them. Contact: dev@xepatop.com.
1. The service
CardSheen recognises Pokémon Trading Card Game cards from photos, keeps your collection and shows market prices. You need an account to scan. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for digital services in your country, to create one.
2. Recognition and prices are information, not advice
Recognition can be wrong, including the card's printing, language, edition or grade. When the app is unsure it asks you, but it can also be wrong without asking. Prices come from public market data and third parties, can be out of date, and are not an offer to buy or sell. Check before you buy, sell or insure a card. CardSheen does not tell whether a card is authentic.
3. Free scans and PRO subscription
- A free account includes a limited number of scans to try the scanner. Used free scans are not restored. Scans where the app could not recognise the card are not counted.
- CardSheen PRO is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, bought through Google Play or the App Store. The price is shown in the app and in the store before you pay, and is charged to your Google Play or Apple account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price and for the same length, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancel any time in your store account. Google Play: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. PRO stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting your CardSheen account does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds are handled by the store you paid through, under Google Play's or Apple's refund policy. This doesn't limit any rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
- I may change PRO features or prices. A price change applies from your next period, and the store will notify you first as its rules require.
4. Acceptable use
Don't try to bypass the scan limit or subscription, overload or attack the servers, scrape the catalog or prices, or reverse-engineer the recognition service. I may suspend accounts that do.
5. Your content
Your collection and photos stay yours. You let me process them to run the app, and to use photos of scans you report as wrong to improve recognition, as described in the Privacy policy.
6. Trademarks
CardSheen is an independent app. It is not produced, endorsed or sponsored by Nintendo, Creatures, GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon and the names of Pokémon characters are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe the cards the app works with.
7. Availability and liability
The app is provided “as is”. I work to keep it running and accurate but don't guarantee it is always available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made based on the app's recognition or prices, and my total liability is limited to what you paid for the app in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
8. App Store users
If you got CardSheen from the App Store, Apple'sStandard Licensed Application End User License Agreementalso applies. These terms are between you and me, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and where these terms and Apple's agreement differ on your use of the app as an App Store user, Apple's agreement prevails.
9. Ending
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time (how). If I shut the service down, I'll give notice in the app and a way to export your collection.
10. Law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia, without taking away the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence. If the terms change, I'll update the date above, and tell you in the app about significant changes.
